The Wednesday Post – Saturday edition (27/11/2010)

Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you’ll know that HIV-AIDS is one of the biggest killers worldwide. About 2 million people each year are killed by HIV. Imagine an endless line of family cars riding up a volcano. Once every minute, a car containing 3 or 4 men, women or children drive off the lip of the crater to their deaths. This is what HIV is doing every day. How can we stop this senseless death?

The Wednesday Post (14/04/10)

99 problems and an itch ain't one (Click for big) (Image flying about around the internet, but I found it at The Something Awful Forums- http://forums.somethingawful.com/showthread.php?threadid=3220648&userid=0&perpage=40&pagenumber=155)

The above was a billboard put up by a HIV/AIDS prevention group on the interstate out of New Orleans. What an incredible way to advertise STD prevention. Incredible in that I can’t believe that someone would think this was a good idea.

According to this WDSU.com news article about the billboard above: “The billboard features a group of so-called “HIV prevention mobsters,” each with a different gang name linked to a sexually transmitted disease. Names include “Da Gonorrhea Breaker,” “Da Crabs Assassin” and “Chlamydia Crusher.””.

Word to your mum.
